Blues, Folk, and R&B Fusion: Leah Teams Up with Tamica and George

Are you a multi-genre music lover who sings along to Hotel California? Do you love the

blues? Get chills listening to Emmylou or Aretha? Join three veteran musicians as they

mine the depths of their combined experience to perform some of their favourites,

ranging from heartstring-pulling folk classics to heart-pumping R&B. Leah Leslie,

Tamica Herod and George Axon will share the outdoor stage at Windermere at 7:30 on

August 6, as part of Muskoka Chautauqua’s Summer Festival.

Leah’s storied career, velvet voice and acoustic guitar took her through folk, jazz, blues

and pop phases. Tamica brings her formidable vocal power and unique percussion vibe

to rock, R&B and soul selections. George’s masterful guitar work and background as a

sound engineer, session musician and composer provide the perfect complement to

these women, whose distinct sounds come together beautifully in vocal harmonies.

Sprinkle in a few original pieces by members of the trio – and voila! An evening of

sublime entertainment.
